success

This is one of the best things i have ever achieved in my life, i hope this story gets you thinking of what you have achieved.

It all started in 1983 i was about 14 years old, their was this disco

at the bottom of my street. So me and my mates went down for

something to do, i noticed alot of people standing around in a circle. We all walked over to have a look, they was this lad doing all this fancy foot work on the floor he attracted so much attention. I could not stop thinking about it the next day, it got the better of me i wanted to learn how to dance like that.

This new dance craze called brakdancing and body popping, we got a dance team together and started practising. Things went from bad to worse, we did not have a clue at what we were doing it seemed like a big  joke.

My shoulders was bruised my legs hurt, this is when it all changed i made a decision to get help.

Me and a friend decided to go to this dance centre in nottingham called hoofers, luckly they were teaching breakdancing. We went every week and practised nearly every night until i finaly got some good dance moves, it was

time to join a good dance team. I seen these three lads dancing on vynal in the middle of arnold town centre, they

were good dancers so i decided to show them my moves.

These lads were about 2 years older than me they said you are coming with us, they tuck me up to redhill youthclub were they had a disco on. They said to me do what you shown us in arnold, so i did my dance moves they went mad with joy. They asked me if i would join their crew, i could not believe it  yes i said.

All my hard work had paid off at last a result, from then on things got better and better. We got sponsored by a computer company. we did gigs at night clubs won competitions, even arnold leisure centre taken us onboard.

We teached breakdancing and popping at the leisure centre, it felt realy good to give something back.

We even got alot of media coverage at the time.  I think the main reason why i succeeded was because i enjoyed what i was doing.
